cold calling mood?

Is cold calling dead? I consider that a call can be a game-changer, especially if your product is complex and specific.

What are the tactics/routines/rituals you and your teams apply to get into the right mindset for cold calling?

I think it’s industry specific but to say it’s dead.

I think it is relatively dead. Most of my cold calls happen after I engage in emails. I think we are the age of cold emailing now.

For me it’s the opposite. I start with a cold call and then send a follow up email.

I do B2B sales so mostly I just google the company name and ask to speak to the head of the department I need to reach. If I'm told to email instead, I write down the email which usually contains the name of the person I want to reach and then call back later and ask for the person by name. Almost always get transferred to them

So do we - We try the triple approach which is: cold call + cold email followed by a VM.

I prefer phonecalls but here someone can answer giving you empty promises most effectively are VNs where I know they listened and they respond at their own pace

despite our open rate for my main account today is 56% - we found more success when cold calling. When it comes to replies: calls.

I also find I get a better response rate with calls. On my end though I think I just haven't mastered the cold email so that probably doesn't help me.

This is my technique too! Leave a VM saying no need to call back just reply back to this email with x subject line if it makes sense.

I think cold calling still works as long as your are calling the right people. There will always be the ones that just hang up right away but every couple calls you can get a good one. Sometimes it just takes time and repetition.

depending on the outreach - inbound/outbound - b2b/b2c - based on that you can leverage different approaches including email and LinkedIn
