Cold calling women as a woman

Not sure how to ask this in the correct way, but I'm gonna try my best.

I am a female BDR and have noticed I have WAY more success in setting meetings with men, especially when it comes to cold calls.

Do any other female BDRs have tips on how to approach a cold call when you are calling another woman? I get hung up on by almost every woman I call - but that rarely happens with men.

Would love to hear if others are having the same experience, or if this is just correlation and not causation.

This is surprising to me! I was a BDR and I didn't run into this... That said, I'm in the veterinary industry, which is overwhelmingly female, so maybe that skews things a little.

I think women have the advantage here. When I was a bdr men were more open to talking with me. Some even flirted. With women, it depends on their personality and their persona. I've had some who were charming and patient and others who were straight up b*tches. It varies.
