Cold email memes?

Is anyone here using a meme in the first email to a prospect? If so, is the email mainly just the meme, is the meme at the top or bottom of the email, and what are your results? Any suggestions on how to do this successfully?

I wouldn't send memes, especially on a cold email. I mainly deal with boomers and I don't think it would go over well.

I'd only send a meme if I had a really good ongoing rapport with someone and I knew they'd appreciate it. Too risky on a cold outreach.

Agreed -- don't do this unless you're absolutely confident they'd appreciate. But if you do, find one they might appreciate. Vietnam war jokes might resonate well with boomers. Or not.

If I know that someone is 50+, I don't think I'd send them a meme. If they're a fellow millennial, I'm going to give it a shot.

If they have Social media and post about the office or some other show, I may send them something after the 1st cold email but for the very 1st one I probably wouldn't

ive seen companies like gong, lemlist and other sales tools use memes in cold emails but never in a none sales enablement tool email

That's interesting. I'm not selling a sales enablement tool, so it might be riskier on my part.

I think it all depends on your ICP, I can’t unfortunately. I’ve heard about a lot of people sending memes when someone doesn’t reply to their emails and they usually get replies.

I send memes all the time. In fact, my most productive email is the old guys from the muppets meme.

I personally would not send out memes. The only situation that I could see it possibly being appropriate is if you have already talked to the prospect multiple times and have a good understanding of their personality and know they will get a good laugh out of it, otherwise I would steer clear of this.
