It's alot of work. AI helps for sure but it's not that efficient yet to form that human connection while prospecting.

People don't wanna feel like they are just a number on your lead list.

We should go above and beyond while masses are just relying on AI and becoming lazy.

I feel pretty strongly that emails are the most effective. Not by percentage but because its the easiest to scale. I can send way more emails in a day than I can make dials. And I can automate those emails a day on top of that.

More specifically, I send 500 emails a day. It takes me at most 30-45 minutes to do that. It would take hours to make that many calls.

I make calls based on who actually opens the emails. That way I have a warm touch with someone who may actually be interested. If I have more time after those I'll call people who didn't open as well, but that's secondary to people who did open.

As far as LinkedIn goes, I don't really get any success there. I've tried it a few times and it just felt like a waste of time. I'll use sales nav to find leads, but I don't really do a lot with sending connection requests or dm's.

Wow! 500?! What are you using to blast that many in a single day?

This is a huge challenge for me recently with my cold outreach. I'm trying hard to balance brevity, value, & personalization. My target audience is literally blasted by salespeople all day long so I need to differentiate myself somehow.

My friend sells to Digital Marketing. For her, LinkedIn works best. Because her target ICP is nearer to Digital platforms like LinkedIn, rather than phones.

My ex-colleague, sells Accounting Software. For her, phone calls work better because AP / AR people can't do their job without a phone.

My ex, sells to Supply Chain departments. For her, Calls work better because her target ICP is more active on Phone for dealing with vendors all day.

All three, especially since itโ€™s so easy now to automate LinkedIn + Emails sequences.

As far as channel order goes, you need to adapt to wherever your prospects are most active. We sell a multichannel sales automation software, our ICP are sales and agencies. I have found LinkedIn is the best to start a convos with them to eventually set up a call.

So my sequences are usually are follows :
- Fairly transparent LinkedIn intro, open conversation about their ICPs and current sales processes. LinkedIn is great place to do that, as people tend to procrastinate there and you can really have great convos if youโ€™re available there. Eventually book a call if convos goes well
- automated email follow-ups. Emails are automatically enriched and used as fallback if they donโ€™t reply or accept me about 6 days later. Fairly classic copywriting there, no need to bullshit salespeople
- Then back on LinkedIn with automated LinkedIn voice messages. There are very neat to break any impression youโ€™re doing automation (though itโ€™s 100% automated) and catch peopleโ€™s attention. Again with a goal to start a convo.
- if still no reply, about 25% of people share a phone number on LinkedIn once youโ€™re connected with them. My sequences will plan a reminder to cold call the lead if a phone number was provided (which is checked automatically)

Everything from enrichment to multi-touches are automated, only costs me 120โ‚ฌ/month, except for the cold call obviously. If youโ€™re lucky to have a direct line, you must use it!

for sure multi touch, but as high tech as we say we are, phone calls will always have their place, if you make 100 calls to folks in your ICP, your likely gonna book deals

Curious to hear how people are doing cold email as we don't have much success there, but so far 11 people have said that's the key.

I delete 10 emails a day from cold emailers who don't know what I do, understand my market, nor my needs - but claim to in a generic email they sent to 1000 others. I get 3-5 LI requests a week from various SDRs trying to sell me something. I delete them all.

Very few reach out via phone. Calling makes you special in today's world.

I sell to marketers, they hate emails and linkedin, & don't answer their phones. I've recently found the only way to get a meeting is to physically knock on their door and introduce myself. (normally with food as a gift lol)
