Cold Outreach Job Applications

I'm applying for new roles and I'm trying to take full advantage of SalesNav Free month.

I'm been connecting with hiring manages and AEs on team I'm applying to but not getting much response.

Does anyone have a good message they like to send to people when approaching cold interviewing?

Like approaching a woman at a bar - “hey, I really like what you are doing at X-corp. love that <insert win or big news> play, really impressive. <Insert any connection you have to the person>. Let’s grab some time in the coming week and catch up.”

This should work, and expand to recruiters as well has HMs & AEs.

Don't forget to angle for referrals from AE

I have had success with picking 10-15 companies that I like and reaching out to the VP, CEO/founder and starting a conversation there. Similar to what was said above, I like what you are doing at xyz, be curious show interest and set yourself aside even when they might not be looking yet. Not all will lead to a conversation but you are building your network as well

See if you can find a mobile number and give them a bell. Otherwise, just be straight up 'Hi X, I did apply to Y role but thought it might be worth going directly to yourself to see if we could set up a quick call to see if my experience suits this?' Worked for me the other day - sometimes it might save the hiring manager time!

Definitely get after the recruiters as well. Any hiring manager worth anything will always be building a bench… lead with that in your message to a hiring manager.
“I know hiring managers are busy and are usually getting pulled in multiple directions (from above and below), so it helps having a bench of candidates to access when you need to make a hire. I was hoping we could spend some time in conversation and see where things go from there. XYZ is my dream job, blah blah blah.”

That goes a long way.
