Cold Outreach: LinkedIn DM or Email?

Does anyone have statistics around which type of cold outreach yields more responses / meetings etc.?

I would say cold calling first and foremost.ย  Then email, and connect on LinkedIn.ย

I feel a certain way about cold calling.. I've never really been a fan. I've also watched a BDR book a meeting off a cold call that ended up being an $850k deal sooo maybe it's time to pick up the phone! #smileanddial

Im pretty big on smile and dial!! Human conversations are always better. Know enough to be informed about the company but not to much making it robotic. Good luck!!!!ย

Definitely going to be email. While LinkedIn is such an important medium for prospecting, you need to use it but in a more relatable and personalized way than you would a cold email. Overall, though email, in my experience, yields a whole lot more responses.ย 

Curious to learn if others have had a good experience with the opposite.ย

I think its good to have a multitouch in place where you are touching with different methods every other day. Call, email, linkedin, snail mail if possible

Broadly, I'd assume email because everyone has to check it somewhat consistently.

But if you have a prospect that's a big LI person, they're likely more active on there and check it much more often.ย
