No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
One month ain't a streak. Just like one person ain't a group.ย

No shame in having a choppy month in sales, especially after a job shift.ย

Take the weekend rest up and then focus on the things you can control namely your pipeline.ย

You got this.ย

I personally wouldnโ€™t consider a bad month a cold streak - especially given things happened that were out of your control. Thatโ€™s sales. Ultimately if you do enough of the right things consistently, good times will be just around the corner. Get back on the horse, celebrate the small wins and youโ€™ll be fine. If that fails, itโ€™s Friday so just get blackout drunk tonight and hope you forget about it.

Bad month is definitely not a cold streak, shit happens (or doesn't happen).

It can be dismaying, but you gotta shake your head a bit, forget about the past, and focus on process.

Control the controllables.

Sales is all about what have you done for me lately, so this will be forgotten REAL QUICK as you kill it again.

You're new, so nothing is gonna be amazing at first. Sounds like you're just getting into the flow of how things work there.ย

Just know that you're not alone and gonna kill it in no time!

Man I agree to all the comments, how can one non-performing month decide your worthiness. As you're fairly new here did you identify Y-O-Y performance trend. In our SaaS business we see decrease in sales during the 3rd Quarter as an example.

Just look ahead man and you'll kill it.

Stick to your fundamentals. Outreach up, demos up, meetings up fill the top of the funnel and deals will close. One month doesnโ€™t make your year.ย

Get a quick win, even if it is for $1.ย  You need that slump-buster like Mark Grace used to say.

Everyone always has bad months it happens to the best of the best sales people. Do not let it get to your head. Go into the next month with a new attitude and a positive outlook that it is going to be a good selling month. Also the summer is a harder time than some other months.ย

Like others here have said, it isnt a cold streak or bad month, its just a sales job. Ups and downs for sure. Just stay consistent and you will come back from it

You should put it all in perspective. Sounds like you have high expectations which is awesome and how it should be. But sounds like just a bit of a slow down after your success. Shrug it off and get back to crushing it like you were before.

Are you in a transactional sale? If not a month is a month, you always have quota the next month.

Smaller, tangible goals so you can built little wins.ย

Example: Profile 10 accounts or make 20 dials

They are controllable and is a step towards the larger goal.ย

Circle back in a few weeks to those "out of my control problems." There can be areas to improve hidden around those issues.

For example... I had a rough month recently. Vacations, weather, sickness kept pushing off the decision. I can't control those things BUT I could have spent less time focusing on getting those deals to close. Make sure when faced with the uncontrollable you don't chase beyond reason.ย
