Great customer moved to a new company came to us in March 2021.
Worked to secure Enterprise pricing. Agreed 5 year contract was required. Value is 31k per year for 5 years. Normally one year, sometimes three, 5 is never heard of especially for first year. YAY
Procurement got involved, help customer build a business case and agree pricing. Pricing agreed, business case accepted. ALSO YAY
Procurement gets involved end of April, and from May-September we negotiate contracts and go back and forth over terms. Procurement try to push a 1 year deal which is not what was agreed. BAD
Go on vacation for my birthday, customer agreed contract and manager gives access for free before contract signed. VERY BAD
Then had to chase them for 30 days for final contract to sign- and today it came through. YAY?
Real roller coaster but manage stakeholders well and enjoyed telling the IT/Procurement team they're not allowed to change the contract length.
Edit: This was for a large infrastructure company- but NDA n such so not gonna give any names. Worked with IT & Operations team!
