Sup sale savages!
So Colorado recently enacted a new law that requires all business targeting Colorado residents (both remote and onsite) to disclose and publicly list available jobs, a reasonable salary range for the position, and list a summery of all benefits/bonus/compensation for the role.
Originally I thought this was a dumb idea but as I've had a few recruiters hitting me up about "high level" jobs and beating around the bush on pay. I've started to use it as leverage because lets be honest here, in sales if you don't have the skills to negotiate your pay you will get eaten alive and end up with a shit commission structure and a shit base.
This new law has given me the ability to instantly see these things without having to waste my time on bad offers. It's been a great tool to expose businesses with shit commission structure or garbage base pay.
Anyways just curious what everyone's thoughts are on this new bill? I've seen some rumblings of large national companies avoiding hiring individuals who live in Colorado specifically for this reason. This might lead to some high profile court cases about discrimination and I wouldn't be surprised to see this eventually get national attention.
