Commission Shafting?

So, anybody been shafted for their commission?

What triggered it? And what did you do?

I'll start.... Yes, multiple times.

1 - Last day of the month, 1pm, Quota got doubled. Nobody got a commission that month. We were all pissed, had a meeting with management who basically said "if you don't like it, you can leave'.

2- .28% away from target cost me $30K in commission. No joke, threshold was 70% of target, hit 69.78% = no commission. I resigned, and took my book of business with me. LOL.

This sounds like they were trying to get people to quit. I don't know how that makes any sense

The manager attended the closing call, told me it wasn't "100% me" who closed it--split the deal (credit and commission) with my colleague who was sub 60% for the month and we both ended up on PIPs as a result (drove me down below threshold and she didn't stand a chance). Wanted to scream.

Been there as well, this is the most important red flag for me. Specially if shifted midway with that kind of explanation.

Yup. Got a whale. No one had called on the account in over 2 years. Got taken away from me after I had a solid first appointment and given to the lazy rep.
