Commission structures

Since joining this group I have realised that I am not on the best package by a long shot. Any UK based key account managers in here will to give an idea of their current package. I work in the flexible electronics industry

Fairly certain that salaries in the UK are less than the US on average but that's pretty ass regardless

Thought as much, I even got told I would only get half at one point this month which has now been resolved fortunatelyΒ

Unless you are closing like $3B with that 3% I’m pretty sure you could make more at a McDonalds

1. how long does it take for a deal to close? 3% suggests that it's a large sum if closed, but how long does that take?

2. plenty of companies are paying a ton more, so this comp sucksΒ

Deals can be anything from 10k-150k, approximately 3-4 month before the deal goes throughΒ

Are they saying the comp is based on the market or is this just how the company has traditionally paid people?

Depends on what you are selling and how easy or hard it is to actually make commission. If the turnover is high for the company you can tell that it is probably not the best deal.Β
