Is the OTE the same? If so, the commission structure for Outbound (obviously) needs to be a bit more lucrative to account for the lower sales numbers vs Inbound

Base is typically the same across all reps, but OTE will vary (amount, accelerators, etc) based on the channel or deal size.

In a previous company, our inbound reps (who were technically on the marketing team), made more base pay but the OTE was a lot lower. Always pissed me off a bit tbh but couldn't complain much because I was making 3x the amount they were overall.

Yes- Iโ€™m at a new company now but am mainly doing outbound and have an SDR helping as well. Every now and then we get inbounds but itโ€™s hit or miss if theyโ€™re legit or not.

Pretty common problem to run into. I've yet to find a company that has been willing to compensate me more for outbound wins, which is irritating because I've gotten a lot of those over the years.

Outbound is markedly more difficult, that needs to be taken into account, a higher base perhaps - OTE should be similar however.ย

outbound is a different world harder than inbound....that being said, I hate cold calling and would take a pay cut to only do inbound.ย
