Company buying time during hiring process.

After 3 meetings (CEO included), a company where I interviewed for a Sales Manager role got back to me saying that they need to interview a few more people before making a decision.
Even though it's fair for them to talk to more candidates, I don't want to give the impression I can hang there until they are done.
How would you create urgency without sounding aggressive/pushy?
Or shall I maybe just politely withdraw my interest in the position?

“I understand, I have to do the same. My timeline is XYZ, do you think this is feasible? If not, please withdraw my name from consideration.”

Ask them about how long they think it will be and express that you've got a couple of offers and would like to add theirs into the mix before making a decision.

I like asking them how much time they need but probably telling them that I have offers is too big as a bluff

I’d start looking for other roles, that way you are not left starting from scratch after they keep going for a week or two (or more).

"getting an offer this week. I like you guys but I can't keep waiting. Let me know!"

nuclear option, only works if you're telling the truth - if you don't have pipeline/options you don't have leverage.

I love the man and he drops gold - I recommend you check out Oren Klaff he originated the concept of frames BTSG brings it together in a b2b sales context vs a finance context

Its like you giving a company 3 demos and them saying they still need to go out to RFP.  They aren't that sold on you and they think they can do better.  I wouldn't waste anymore time on them.

Give them your timeline and make it clear that you are looking at other places too

Tell them you have another company you are interviewing at and expect an offer there pretty soon.
It will get you the answer MUCH faster.

I hate that companies do this.

I would let them know that you are very interested in working there, but you also have a few offers on the table that seem to be moving quicker than them so please understand if your time table does not match mine.

something like that.

what you really want to say is fuck you, we both know Im the best fit lets do this already.

They told me from the beginning I was the first one being interviewed. That was also bad luck on my side
