Company Perks

Hey everyone, I was wondering what does your company do that makes you stay with them. The fun stuff that happens in the office or outside the office, maybe it's the flexibility to work remotely or the company parties.

Good earning structure, doesn't hire a bunch of assholes, office is nice. I have no loyalty though and would leave for another opportunity if I could earn more money.

They pay me handsomely and I have full autonomy to get my work done wherever and whenever I want (within reason on point two)

None of these are the reasons I stay. I stay for career growth and RSUs

Great benefits and I'm trusted to run my territory as my own business.

Option to work from home should be a non starter these days, not a perk

May sound corny but the best company "perk" I've ever had was an awesome work culture. Every single person at that company was fuckin awesome. Granted, our whole marketing department was outsourced so maybe that's the secret...

I was one of the first 8 people at that company and the very first AE so I obviously had a big influence on the culture. I ended up leaving for more money. Sometimes I wonder if I made a mistake.

I echo the need more money like anyone else, but man alive does culture matter to me. I cannot work with assholes or d-bags. Wont hire them, wouldn't let them hire me or, if I made a mistake....keep me. Life is too short to not actually enjoy the people you allow in your life along your journey

I would say all these little things add up under "company culture" and make an impact, but to @funcoupons point it's only going to be a small difference, not worth a better offer of 10% or more. For the same or less than 10% I would probably go with the better culture, which includes these types of perks

I took a new op for a 60% increase and started regretting it about a month in. More money is definitely a great motivator but if it's the sole reason for changing, watch out.

Money, plain and simple. I remember I used to get paid in kind bars and my first "startup" when I wa strapped for cash as a broke college student despite brining in way more than what they paid me. A good product, no micromanagement, clear goals and a path to achieve them, I'm sold.

Definitely the bonus perks/good comp structure. This is what I'm most interested in when looking at other companies. Go where they will treat you right, and show you that you're valued. With great comp structure you help them help you because you want to sell more.

We get free fruit, apparently, whilst still working from home, somehow. We also get work parties, which we have to organise ourselves!

Great 401k package, above market pay, WFH, and good commission structure.

So the fun thing people are now realizing is that in-office perks have been used by companies to create a culture within the office of fun and allow companies to stifle salary pay as a result.

I stay if the product is selling. I could care less about perks. If I am beyond OTE that is what makes me happy in life.

They do the best thing they can. They hired a VP who gets it. Spends time on the strategy of closing deals, not on staring at a dashboard of numbers

Thought this poll was multiple choice tbh, so don't count my vote on "reimbursements on commute" 😂

Option to WFH shouldn't be a perk, it should be standard now.

Haha they do this great thing where we don’t have a kitchen and so we have to make our coffee from water in the bathroom sink. Haha it’s great. Oh also no dishes can be washed at work lol and we have no furniture and we’re not allowed to hang things on our walls lol. Also no break room haha and the walls are white. God it’s fucking awesome

I know it may be basic but I would say opportunities for growth. Understanding how long the typical contributor of the role you are going to into is good info. Unfortunately many of the companies I’ve left was the next position was the CEO or VP of Sales whose been there for 20 years. Some people don’t ask that question but I think it’s critical for career growth upwards.
