Comparing US vs Europe OTE for SDRs and AEs

Hi savages,

I'm interested to know does anyone have solid data on how OTE in tech compares when looking at US vs Europe?

Also, has anyone made that switch here (moving from Europe to US)? What was it like, would you recommend it for a 25 y/o salesguy with 5 years of experience?

In my space, the base is 2-3x higher in the US. If you have the opportunity to move I would make it. Not just for the financial reward but for other experiences.

From what I've seen, British accents also tend to disarm a lot of gatekeepers in the US. It's an advantage most of us don't have but you would.

And man, life is all about experiences. If you have a chance to do something like that, do it.

Wages for SDR jobs are a lot higher in the US generally speaking.ย

If you value work-life balance stay in Europe (of course there are companies that do value this too in the US).

Also, with your experience and age, youโ€™ll probably find something really nice. Putting yourself out there will get you further than youโ€™ll get in Europe.

If you want to see how they do it on the other side, go for it, man! I know I will in a year or two when the COVID situation calms down ๐Ÿ‘
