Cool client events in the Bay?

Sup fam,

What are cool events I can plan in San Francisco that people will actually want to show up to?

I work for a systems integrator so my "clients" are both actual clients & also other sales reps from a major cloud provider.  Ideal situation would be something clients want to show up to bc the reps will follow their clients.

Sky's the limit on budget.  More creative than "top golf" please

Lol at Top Golf. Must be a nationwide crush over that place. I hear about it so often. 🤣

Also, isn't Alviso under flood warning?

Would give a whole new aspect to the game. You just have to make sure you book one of the upper tiers.

In all reality, this series of storms has really been hard on a lot of people. I’m sorry for everyone affected.

We hosted a tour at Levi’s when it first opened. You could do something like that. Behind the scenes tour there or the giants stadium, with dinner/drinks.

I would also check if the MLB/NBA/NHL stadiums are open for tours.

This was wildly popular when we did a huge event once.

But overall, the issue with the Bay is how big it is. If you're trying for a smaller event, you'll have issues getting SJ folks up to SF and vice versa. Or getting your Concord/Walnut Creek folks to come into the city for pretty much any reason, unless it really is super cool.

The challenge is to define "cool". Sponsoring a box and catering a meal at an event (Warriors game, Sharks game, Giants game) is cool, but I've done it a few times, and we've always had disappointing turnout with last minute cancellations - and that's after weeks of chasing people to RSVP.

If you go smaller - like inviting 1 client and their rep(s), you can target the event better. They like a certain singer? Concert tickets for all of you, with dinner first. Into Broadway? Get those musical tickets for the group. Sports fans? Lots to choose from.

There are a couple of marinas out in sausalito that charter some decent sized boats. You can do a bay tour and then dinner out there (rent out a place).

Oh, that's a good suggestion. Also there are several out of SF if Sausalito is too far away.

I hosted an event at SPIN the ping pong place in SOMA (SF). Was pretty awesome, they had appetizer trays making rounds and there’s a full bar. And they set up a full blown bracket tourney and provided a cool trophy for the winner. I recommend it if your target participants are close enough since navigating the area is a total PITA during peak hours
