Count as outbound

Hey warriors, we have quite few cases where account is being heavily worked by SDRs and eventually this or other person would come as inbound without replying to emails..

what rules you'd have so outbound would get credit?

we have different commish inbound vs outbound so keen to hear your thoughts..

I worked at an org that would give a 60 day window after the outbound sequence had ended, in which any interest generated from the end user would be credited back to the sdr. It seemed to make everyone pretty happy.

I like this approach. It's about as fair as you can get.

I like this approach and have seen some version of it in multiple places. Reps generally are happy with this ROE

We don't differentiate, and what if the inbound came from internal word of mouth on their side?

Get rid of that inbound vs outbound and just call a lead a lead. I get that people want "credit" but that is a poorly thought out and petty sales structure.

Normally companies do this because they pay different for outbound v inbound.

Which is ridiculous. A lead is a lead.

that's true of course.. but usually ROI for inbound is lower but it's easier to sell them since they're already coming with specific use case/intent etc...

Was the account created in the CRM before this happened? And does the account show outbound activity along with the outreach attempted as well?

If it does, that is definitely outbound.

If it does not, then itโ€™s inbound.

90 day window - Sounds about right. If an SDR reached out to a company and they turn up as inbound, it goes to SDR outbound efforts, if it is within 90 days.

If they dont respond to outbound messages its an inbound
