Courting a Company at Networking Events

Question Time! So I am going to attend an event held by a company I have been interested in for multiple reasons. I have attempted to connect with some of their leadership and people ops folks in the past but not really broken through. I plan to go to this networking event that they have with the idea that I can connect with them face 2 face and maybe pique their interest in interviewing me.

What are some good questions or conversation starters I can use to convey my interest, leave a lasting impression and open the door to future employment? Thanks for the advice!

They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
Talk to a couple of their clients, if you can, and ask they what they like about the company. Drop that into a conversation.

Dig hard into their business. What they did to GTM if new, or if not new, what they are currently doing. Find C-suite quotables. Somewhere in that maze you'll be able to find something that a reasonable person with reasonable experience would or could question. Then, ask them the question.

"You scaled from 1M to 10M at warp speed. It seems to me that the fuel was in an added step in your marketing. Most companies educate and nurture along the CJ. You inspired before the nurture! Was this a purposely built step?"

... or whatever you can dig up... You get them to think, they'll think you're brilliant and well researched. They'll have to have you. Good luck!

Identify both their needs and challenges then make sure to offer some help based on their current status and the value you would add by getting you hired, like..I can see that the X department is doing good however with my vast previous experienceat that field I can add... or your company would be able to overcome that challenge by...
If you maybe interested to talk about it further maybe we could have a cup of coffee whenever it suits you, sounds good!

Talk more about their competitors and tell what they are missing.

Seeing you are an AE, then assuming the desired short term impact is customer acquisition, business development, and input on process improvement: I would connect with 2-3 customers and develop a very clear understanding of why they became customers, distill it down to quantifiables, then build a new prospecting list and share it with them. I have gone as far as developing interest for a prospect if it is a transactional business.
