Crazy Prospecting Idea- Would you ask a decision maker for the opportunity to cold call them?

Some executives might be open to a short 5 min conversation- they can learn about, evaluate, and decide on whether to launch into a sales process with a vendor in an efficient way.

What if the subject line was: "Can I cold call you?" (unique subject line will stand out)

and the messaging would be ultra short and sweet, almost challenging them like "gimme 5 minutes to prove our value, if you aren't impressed I'll stop emailing"

Is this a terrible idea? Would you try it? Thoughts???

Does this idea have legs?

I don’t think this would get much traction but I’d be happy to be proved wrong.

Seems worth testing out! Put it head to head with a subject line you know works with the exact same body and let the numbers speak for themselves

AE’s - Try your best to identify all the ‘key decision makers’ early in the process. You might feel that it’s necessary to wait or to be delicate in how you ask for other people’s involvement – but don’t
