CRM Tool

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on setting up a CRM and workflow for Unblocked, focusing on B2B sales. My main goal is to find a tech stack that will help us generate leads and manage our email outreach effectively.

We already have a list of emails from various sources, and now I’m looking for suggestions on the best tools to use for:

• Programmatically sending bulk emails to multiple recipients

• Managing responses with a single inbox

• Creating automated email sequences

• Streamlining the overall outreach process

Since we’re a lean sales team, I need something simple to execute but powerful enough to handle the volume of outreach we plan to do. Any recommendations for CRM tools or selling tools that fit these criteria would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey Wes—I’m probably the only RevOps guy here.

I’d recommend HubSpot, no doubt.

I’d be happy to shoot you a DM on implementation advice. Are you on the mobile app?

I'm inclined to use Hubspot due to familiarity, but it's just way too expensive for our stage in the startup right now. I haven't downloaded the mobile app for Bravado yet.

There’s free and starter. Starter can do ALOT. Also, apply for hubspot for startups—you will get a lifetime discount.

I run a HS Agency. I won’t dox myself so I can’t send you more info unless you have DM access on the mobile app.

Also, if you aren't already aware. BUY AT ENDS OF QUARTERS.

Not sure on Hubspot team, but Salesforce has a Hubspot compete called Salesforce Pro Suite that they reps will basically give away at ends of quarters because they get a 5K kicker for new logo wins.

Yo! Thanks for this. I'm leaning towards using Apollo as our CRM for now just for simplicity since we're going to use it for outreach. Any thoughts on that?

You’re going to have to move to another provider eventually, so I’d do it now.

Another benefit: data segregation. It’s the major advantage of Outreach and Salesloft, too. You have two environments with shared data but limited contamination and/or specific visibility.

It’s such a trash play.

Appreciate the perspective! So it’s Hubspot Sales Starter and Apollo. How do I avail of the startup discount?

What Billy said. I also run a HS partner agency. Hit me up and I’ll hook you up with a rep who won’t be upset about Hubspot for Startups. DMs are open.

CRM - Definitely HubSpot.

Listen to @poweredbycaffeine and reach out. It's an amazing offer.

Starter really can do a ton. You can always layer in Apollo.io

Realistically, Apollo.io is the best fit for any super lean team. I'm the founding AE and we drop 99 bucks a month it does Data, sequencing, Dialling*. meeting recordings with recaps, emails, analytics.

But it's not good at sending email at scale,

I would reccomend looking at tools like https://www.salesforge.ai/ for this, you can do inbox management, scale up domains and email addresses, unified inbox etc.

This is super perfect advice. You're right, Apollo can't scale email sending. So did you stack Salesforge AI on top of Apollo?

At your stage I would recommend Apollo for now, and as you grow, you can integrate it in to Hubspot

Hey, welcome to the War Room! Great first post!!

I am Gasty, the WR community manager here. I just wanted to add a few points before I get to your question.

This is an anonymous sales platform with some of the best sales people anyone has to offer. Their advice is pure gold. Being anonymous will give you the most out of here.

Keep posting, engaging with other posts, and you'll gain so much value, I assure you.

Also, this isn't LinkedIn, you can go as detailed as you want, no need to keep it short.

Lastly, have you checked out the commission store yet? If not, I highly recommend. Earning commission is also super easy, upvotes get you commission points.

Now coming back to your question;

What all platforms are you evaluating? As suggested, Hubspot's starter is indeed a great starting point.

If you are price conscious and don't have extremely aggressive growth goals or fat funding rounds use Hubspot. If you think you are going to scale 10x in the next 5 years, get Salesforce. Just some insight from a guy who may or may not work for the big blue cloud in the sky...

As others have said, Hubspot. Best tool for all your questions. Also has a free academy with courses to teach yourself it. Further to this, there are a lot of ace people out there that will do contract work for you and sort everything you need for this in Hubspot in circa 30 mins.
