Daily Activities for Full Cycle AE

How many activities (calls/text/emails) are your top full cycle AEs doing daily? Was doing 30 demos per month in my old role, but we had a SDR team that was about 1.25/2 SDRs per AE. So I'm trying to get back to my SDR roots. What are the activity levels daily for top AEs?

I didn't go into sales to think, I went into sales to close

Hard to say really. You should definitely be dedicating a part of each day (even if its only 20min) to prospecting - gotta keep that funnel full. But your mngt will want to see deal progression first and foremost. So it really depends on how full your funnel is and what the demands of your current set of deals is.

I mean if activities are also, doing proposals, pricing, post sales support, meetings, deliverables.

Then that’s all I do …0

Depends on many factors mainly including if you still have any backlog or not!

What’s the average sales cycle and what’s your avg. close % on first demos?

We are still figuring that out. I would say average sales cycle is 2 weeks. And no data on close rates

How many calls did it take those SDRs to book those 30 meetings a month?

if you can do that yourself they would send you back in time to crush the Germans.

I have been full cycle for about 6 years now and commit 2 hours to each day prospecting (this includes all prospecting activities like research, creation, actual outreach, I personally don't give a shit about measuring activity) and never have had a pipeline issue.

How long is your typically sales cycle? Are you typically tracking the amount of meetings your booking per week?
I'm just trying to make sure I'm not dogging it everyday. I got no one looking over my shoulder counting the metrics and I feel like I'm working hard but since I'm a sales org of one I'm trying to push myself and what to get a read of what top reps are doing each day, if that makes sense

Typical sales cycle is about 75 days (around the $50k Average ARR mark).

I have been in this role enough, know my close rate, what to expect from BDR's/Inbound to know if I can generate 1 meeting every 2 weeks that I actually bring into my pipeline, I am on a good track.

I have been in your situation before and it will take some time to get specifics down, but my suggestion is commit to yourself you will do 2 hours every day, and if you have more time, it will never hurt to do more.

Eventually you will know how many accounts/contacts you need to fill the top of the funnel with to get what you need out of the bottom.

Around 15 or so a day, aiming for 3-5 meetings a week. Large pipeline though, has taken 4 years to build it to this.
