Darktrace alumni?

any Darktrace Alums or just cyber security sellers on here?

I rarely get an interesting offer through LinkedIn but I've been looking to make a move anyways.

Repvue gives Darktrace some bad scores, curious what you savages have to say about selling this industry.

I think it could be something for resume sake, but not something that I would pursue on purpose.

I will just say this

If this is your first sales gig, or your first opportunity to be an AE - take it for a year, grind your ass off, then use the name to jump somewhere else

If not, run like the wind.

They say that the 'technology sells itself', so you can see how much they value their sales reps..

Retweet to everything you said!

It's a good name to have on your resume & other companies might get excited to see things like cyber security & AI in your experience, but it's not somewhere I would say you'd want to stay long term.

I interviewed there over 2 years ago and they asked me to prove my college GPA… out of nowhere. They explained they only accepted candidates from well known schools too.

Not sure if anyone will outright say they used to work there or currently do, I personally have not heard of it but the poor RepVue numbers would be concerning.

But maybe they revamped their comp since those scores, if it looks interesting I would go for it. There is never harm in interviewing

Love the industry. Don't know much about darktrace, but they also have a low Glassdoor review

Yeah that low score would keep me away for sure.

I’ve not worked there, but I’ve been hit up by like five different recruiters in the last year to go there. Their turnover is so high that they are always recruiting. From what I’ve heard, it’s a toxic place but if can handle it, why not, get the AE experience and leave. I can’t work at a toxic place so it ain’t for me.

I have a coworker who came from there. He talks all the time about it how its basically just a huge call center with high dial metrics and no room for advancement. They give you bogus title changes as a form of promotion with no real change in responsibility or comp.

With that said, a shark tank cold call room isn't the worst place to get your feet wet if you're new to sales. You'll either learn how to handle objections fast or realize sales isn't for you.
