Manager calls me today at j2 and lets me know one of the AE's got fired for NOT being like me. He wasn't proactive, coachable, easy to work with, a self starter, an owner, collaborative. He expected things to fall into his lap, had attitude, and would shit down when talking collaboration together. He was pretty much toxic.
he wanted to call me and let me know it wasnt a layoff due to running our of funds or that im next but more so that they need to have the right minded people to build this companyย
he made it known that the executive team thinks both I and my Current AE ( we both are very similar in personalities yet also mirror each others weak points) are 'rockstars' and exactly what they are looking for.
that we do things not even asked of us in our contract. we take ownership of extra roles as needed, we treat the company like our own. etc.etc.ย
so it was a chill day. we had like 5 hours of meetings today recapping and establishing workflows/ processes with marketing MQL handoff, webinar followup, and lead assignment/working so we dont double propspect. I laughed alot and we had a great productive time.ย
yeah us and marketing laughed together. it was great. I had been super active in linkedin comments on our ICP's thought leaders posts and I responded to a COO of another competitors comment on why his company could solve their problem and I, being the savage ruthless salesperson I am, RESPONDED TO HIS RESPONSE LIKE 'bUt wE cAn dO it EvEn bEtTeR ๐' with a couple pointsย
and we had decided that LOL yeah let's maybe not do that ๐

j1 is still ass. spent the day going through shit contacts assigned to me, and yesterday, and the day before, just dqing them so I can keep my crm clean and actually dial ICP's.ย
ive been struggling with results at J1 to keep up with their shitty leads and workflow while listening to their rules and their script so it's time to do things my way. got a new script Marcus and I worked on and gonna run that shit tomorrow.
i swear ive improved 100% this week since working with Marcus. I send him stuff everyday, recordings, templates, questions, and he responds everyday with video recordings of breakdowns of what to improve, how, and why.ย
i swear i did not expect that level of dedication and involvement and I'm suprised hes okay with me asking so much, for both jobs, and is able to dedicate so much time to me, as well as to his 90 other students. big ups to him. his training is also next fucking level Im telling you. game changers.ย
anyways id update more but its already 8. I just woke up from a nap, and I got 7 hours of sleep last night. the kid is doing great, and I'll catch up with y'all tomorrowย
