Day 54 of two sales jobs - the saga ends

Quit J2 today


  • Final straw was HR not paying out my PTO and requesting doctors notes for a mental health related PTO like ok.
  • they also wanted time on my calendar today to 'talk about something' Yeah no thanks.
  • emailed everyone I quit this morning and wiped their laptop.

couple reasons why this is good


  • i really like J1 and want to devote my full effort to it
  • J2 is affecting my mental health and no job is worth my mental health
  • As J1 ramps up I'm wearing multiple hats and dont have time to devote to J1 anymore

I like the idea of it, but struggling because on one hand yes I can juggle two jobs at 60k base for 120k base, but I'd rather devote full effort and get to a 150k base AE and potential for multiple 6 figure commission check

What was the time you dedicated to both jobs? 60-90 Days? If J2 was better do you feel you would still be juggling two jobs? Either way... congrats on realizing that your mental health outweighs a paycheck. You'll be surprised at the sheer number of people that you'll meet that make a great living but are so fucking depressed. Always put yourself first.

If J2 was better and J1 wasn't a founder role wearing multiple hats, yes I would still juggle.

I can't believe they asked for a doctor's note. The only thing they should say is "OK, hope everything is alright". I like when people quit shitty jobs with no notice. Makes me happy

I quit my worst job by sending my resignation email as I was walking out the door. My (former) boss called me once I got home asking me to go back and finish my two weeks. I hung up and replenished my mental health tank
