Dealing with PIPs

Curious to hear Managers perspective as well as any Rep who has been on a PIP during this fun selling environment known as a pandemic. My company put PIPs on hold for QUOTA, but kept them for PERFORMANCE- which has been difficult. Anyone dealing with similar situation?
