We're all in this to gain that grain, I get it. But, there's something sinister about forcing the rest of your team to commit acts of bullshit.
Recently, our SVP went out and sold a deal on the basis of our product doing something it absolutely can't do. Like, we don't even have the tools necessary to even build what they want it to do.
Why do some salespeople want to completely violate the integrity of the business in the name of a sale? AND have the audacity to get mad at the product team about it when rebuttled.
Our COO had to check the SVP real quick on why they're brokering deals like this and it made for a long awkward meeting.
Embellishments are one thing. False promises..man I don't even know how to handle it other than a few drinks and shutting off my email.
