- What are the products, are they comparable?
- what are the other options performance, are they gaining in market share or shrinking?
- What are the team dynamics at the others, good managers? Good repvue scores?

Do what you gotta do but I would avoid making a decision based on OTE alone unless you owe a shit ton of money to the Mafia or something. And definitely donโ€™t burn bridges.

Cautionary tale:ย  I know a rep who signed a contract for a new company and ended up getting an amazing offer to stay put - and bailed on the offer.ย  ย  Guess who is not ever going to get opportunities in the same space?ย  Word got around.ย  Don't burn bridges.

yeah always be very transparent, if I am interviewing with a few companies I let each one know about the others, and when other offers come through, and I will let each of them know all the details and deciding factors so if something is an issue THEY CAN SELL ME, and in the end not be dissapointed if they missed out on top talent because they could of done something more for me to keep me

@SADNESSLieutenant damn, respect the transparency and strategy there. I might need to try that

Of course man, only works out better for you too, easy way to negotiate a salary bump too. AND if that company doesn't get you, now they are more aware of the job and talent market and what THEY can do better so you may just be helping out another person down the line with that transparency.ย

Also side note, if I'm working with 4 recruiters, which I am right now, I let each on know so, that 'hey, I'm speaking with several other recruiters right now, and im sourcing my own interviews, really just trying to find the best fit. so I have a few first stage calls scheduled already with X Y and Z' - now not only does this increase your transparency and set expectations, but it drives the urgency within them to move fast and SELL YOU to the other companies as Top talent to move quickly on. AND in the end if you do bail out on them, you're not burning a bridge and can actually continue working with them if you need to in the future

AS WELL. sometimes those recruiters will look out for you too and be like, OH don't go with 6sense if youre looking for career growth, I just placed a few SDR's there and the VC firm that backs them is pushing to hire AE's instead of train SDR's into the roll. PRICELESS.

Itโ€™s all biz dev, 1 is supply chain and logistics for the shipping industry. 1 is software auditing and the last one is security industry. Iโ€™ve started at the supply chain co, itโ€™s pretty awesome. The other 2 are 100% remote. How could I approach the current co about actively being recruited?

I wouldnโ€™t, unless you want to leave. As soon as you tell your company you are entertaining external offers, they write you into the โ€œchurnโ€ headcount for that year.ย

If the one you are at is great, personally I wouldnโ€™t leave for $15k extra. But, to each their own.ย

Supply chain is a great industry to be in right now, literally every company is trying to streamline their operations at the moment to fix backlog and supply gaps.

Don't mention to your current that you're entertaining other offers. You have nothing to gain from that.ย

Your options are:ย

a) Stay put

b) Take one of the other offers. Only do this if you're willing to burn the bridge you have at your current. Make sure the other offer is not only offering better money, but an equally good culture/product/opportunity for advancement and future earning potential.

I'm pretty sure they all know everyone is constantly being recruited in this market.ย  ย I don't think it's to your benefit to bring it up, as it's unlikely to move the needle re your current comp situation, and it could have adverse effects, as you might be seen as not being 100% invested in this company or role.

I take it you started at the company, but are curious as to what others think you should have done?ย  ย Honestly, if you're happy with the original offer and excited for the opportunity, you should have no regrets.ย  That additional $$ becomes a data point should you find you want or need to move on.ย  ย How's it going?

No, not what I should of done but can I try to see if the current will bump the salary a bit? Not 10 or 15k but maybe 5?

If you just started, no. Absolutely don't try this. You have no social capital to do this and have not yet proven you're worth more than what they started you at

Yeah, I think you are at the "cool story, bro" stage with your new company, just getting started.ย  The other offers now become something you file away for the appropriate time when discussing an uplift to OTE.ย  Crush it in this role, it will pay off.

I mean, you just started at the company, and if you're feeling "grass is greener" already, may not be the right fit. BUT my advice would be to stick it out and see where this CURRENT job takes you, leaving right when you started is a bridgeburner in a big way
