Bragging rights alone are a great perk. Add cash or a trip on top, of course its a nice achievement.

How much do I care about making the cut? Entirely dependent on how feasible and realistic it is to achieve.

If I’m in my first year with a company with long sales cycles, then I know I’ll need to build pipe for most of the year just to be in the running for the following year.

I agree that club is a tough goal for any first-year if your sales cycles are longer than 3 months.

I love being at the top of the quarterly and yearly attainment charges but I would be driven to get there regardless of club. Club to me is a weird "I'd rather not" kind of trip.

I'll keep the recognition and the cash bonus but I'll pass on the 3 days in Maui with structured activities.

In my current position, yes, I absolutely care. It is one of the best ways to show achievement and also provides for great face-time with the Executive team while on the trip. This may not be the case for every company, but for where I am at right now it is a huge personal achievement for me each year.

Thanks for the response and for calling out facetime!

I benefitted greatly from spending time with my CRO & sales execs after hours and weekends when others were not around so I completely agree.  I would hope the Sales Execs go on everyone's club trips so they can find that value.

I mean, any bonus is a good bonus... but the best bonus is cash. No tax concerns, no hidden agendas, no risk of being forced into something you don't wanna do.

Which Mafia family do you work for that you get bonus'ed with cash, presumably with non-linear serial numbers and in a briefcase, and have no tax concerns? Anytime I've ever taken the cash option on a spiff or a bonus, it's come direct deposited with Uncle Sam's cut missing...

With the amount of people tossing in P-club on their linkedin profiles you'd think it was a mandatory company event.

Cared about getting recognized early on but now all I care about is getting paid- C levels, VPs come and go, Id rather get cash in my pocket.

Some of the greatest memories are made on a PC trip with all your close sale buddies...

but then again it’s sucks when they don’t make it....

cash is great and a free trip is also great for me as long as I get to choose the timing.

I'll take anything I can get haha. Would definitely prefer a trip or cash bonus - don't really want particular items. I do like the idea that Presidents Club trip gets you exposure in front of the entire company and the exec team
