Do you ask for specific times or use assumptive CTAs?

I used to use CTAs like "is Tuesday or Thursday better for a quick call?" Recently, I stopped asking for specific meeting times, going more toward, "does it make sense for us to talk about this for a few minutes?"

I also stopped using CTAs like "looking forward to connecting" when the prospect hasn't agreed to anything.

What does everyone think about this? is it better to ask for a specific meeting time or ask for interest? Does assuming the yes still work, or is it too pushy?

Interest based.

You can soften: "does it make sense for us to talk about this for a few minutes?"

You want to clarify if they're interested at all before going for the call.

This is my favorite approach as well. Offer something but don't assume they need it immediately.

Brain has this one correct. Also find it interesting this is the second post you've had about softening your approach. Something happen?

Yes. I got an email from Bravado about accumulating commission points before the Black Friday sale hahaha

Also I received a super pushy message recently from someone who seems to keep getting promoted, so I was wondering if maybe people have found a way to bully prospects into buying

I think both work. Just do some AB testing to see what works for you.

Fair enough. In your experience, which works better for you? Or do you mix it up?

I get pretty similar results.

i love this. I try not to push something they have not committed too.

I want to make sure they are interested in talking before I suggest times to talk. That never sat well with me.

If they are interested, they will say it and then you send them your calendar link and its all good.

I like to use ‘… for a few minutes whenever you are free’. Running AB is the only way to find what works and what doesn’t.

I typically don’t Unless it’s a follow up

I just do :

Would you be opposed to an assessment/learning more/an intro?

I do both. Really depends on the situation. If they don't mention a specific time for an initial call or a follow up meeting, I'll usually just throw out a time and say that we can adjust if anything changes. Other times I'll just pick an opening on my calendar and send out an invite.

When I have sent cold emails, those never work.

Because I drop names like crazy (like "we are doing business with X and Y - would you like to know how's that going...?") I would end with an invite to know what those companies are doing with us.

Both work - I usually like to use assumptive CTA's. Use email as a trigger if they open and call.

You don't need to answer all prospect's questions on a demo.
