Do you get paid the wrong commission amount?

I haven’t worked at a company that seems to get compensation tracking right.

I get commission monthly in arrears and it’s rare instance when they actually pay out the correct amount.

Does the War Room have similar experiences?

Do you get paid out the right comp?

Unfortunately, it happens more frequently than it should, but it happens. Humans being humans I suppose.

It’s true there is the human error point - that raises interesting question with automation

On a side note - does anyone have experience with commission automation or AI driven comp? What’s the good what’s the bad?

It happens when someone enters the wrong data (human error) and can be frustrating. Companies should automate using AI.

How would you address it if human error is happening almost every month? (Not over exaggerating its 10/12 months they get it wrong)

I would talk to management for them to correct it asap since it's an ongoing problem. There are inexpensive platforms in the market that can do this. They shouldn't be taking this for granted, you have to live/expenses/bills to pay.

It has happened infrequently.

Amusingly, I worked at a car dealership a long time ago where I almost got paid over 300K that month because of an error in a payroll.

I think I've had one issue with this in approaching a decade across many employers. At some point, errors like this stop being a bug and become a feature. If it happens nearly every month and it's always lower, that screams intentional. Is it always lower than it's supposed to be?

It’s always lower with the current company. The previous companies it would fluctuate

I've never had this happen, but keep track of everything in excel and check it against what I'm paid.
