Do you have a side hustle?

If so, how much time do you invest?

I find many people have something they work on the side.

I have for 10+ years.

First, I used to tutor SAT classes. But as I got removed from test / materials over time, I didn't feel I could deliver a great experience.

So I built a wine collection Biz and now buy/sell rare wines.

Also fuels my alcohol habit, so that's a plus.

That explains the wine tasting !
How does picking the wine tasting work though if we are in different countries ? Is it exclusive to people who live in the States ?

Before the pandemic I would purchase clothes from thrift stores, fix them up, and then resell them online. Not super lucrative, but it's fun. Getting back into it as things open up here now.

I run Airbnbs and have a vintage (1965) van I sell beer out of. I'm also a creative person so I do a lot of photography and design.

I actually consult on the side for small to mid size businesses. I help them fine tune there operations, develop a go to market strategy, and develop a brand image.

In this case, in the New York region for wholesale brands and start up brands I’ve solidified a name for myself after 4 successful launches, so one day someone approached me asking a rate for a launch strategy, he referred me to someone else and so on. I never actually intended for this to become a full on side hustle

In short I guess you can say the easiest way to do it is focus solely on your strengths and what stands you apart, in my case industry connections

Still sell and train horses, teach people how to do the same. Just don’t care about my rates as much as I used to, and will only do it if it’s actually enjoyable.

sorry. Your donkey doesn’t qualify, and definitely not if you’re an entitled ass in any way.

Why not? Not enough time or lost interest?

I used to run a scrap metal salvage side hustle. My city used to do a big item garbage weekend once a year so i'd spend my nights driving around picking up fridges and bbqs then selling them for scrap. I'd usually make 3-4k off the week but my city did away with it 2 or 3 years ago.

currently trying to build an indoor garden in my basement so I can grow obscure peppers/vegetables and sell the excess product to local restaurants. None of my hustles make a ton they're more just to keep me entertained

Yeah, I found my outdoor garden very relaxing last summer so I've spent this winter trying to clean out my basement to make it a workable space. I'm really excited for once I have the first iteration of my rig set up

Have you tried microgreens for your basement? They're pretty easy with a high margin. Just don't do wheatgrass.

I'll have to take a look at micro greens. I'm gonna start out with basil, cherry tomatoes, and peppers.

I have a couple side hustles: speaking opportunities, writing my book, and consulting on the side for small businesses.

I have a buddy of mine that works in IT.  He made an extra $40k last year in some random small town finding used stuff at Goodwill and flipping it on Ebay.  Probably put 10+hours a week into it.

I have a few side projects but am blessed that they overlap significantly with my full-time job so I can honestly work on them simultaneously.  Personal goal is 7-10 streams of income so I can work because I want to not because I have to.
