Bought 20k in 2018 for $20. Sold it in January and put it into ETH. I regret that decision, but it was far more logical in my opinion. Personally I think DOGE is a sham, and it is going to screw over a lot of young (and foolish) investors who have purchased some above .40 when it eventually crashes to .01 again (as Musk has said he wants to happen as well to make it "the people's crypto").
If people actually want a large future growth potential, I would look at Cardano. Which was founded by one of the Ethereum founders, with the focus of proof of stake (the future of Crypto and Blockchain IMO), and has already gained real world application by signing contracts with numerous COUNTRIES.

I whole heartedly agree with this. Bought doge early on and sold in February after the big spike. Cardano is a great coin and I have put some money into it. What is frustrating about doge is how Elon pushes it but it really hurts the integrity of the crypto space overall.

That is my current beef with Elon (beyond the fact that he created a BTC surge then decided to say oh no its not good for the environment). Now he is claiming to be making moves with Doge to improve it, so he doesn't look like a grifter (SEC has banned him already, now he is trying to do the same thing with Cryptos). Doge has no true value, no real application, and is just reducing the credibility of actual cryptos in the market. I am anguished by the future conversations I am going to have to have with the absolute morons I know who simply invested in Doge as a joke. They are going to be bragging for YEARS.

I bought Doge May 2020 in Robinhood. In my head, I pronounced it "dodge coin" until it finally clicked over the winter. I bought 5,300 shares at $.002 and now after buying dips I'm at ~6500 shares with an avg cost of $.02.
