Do you incorporate video in your outreach?

Hey war room, I recently started incorporating personalized video into my outreach. It's still cold outreach BUT I feel like it's more human for people to see a face since Covid had really taken away in-person interactions.


I send video to new LinkedIn connects just to say hey and put a face to the name and also when prospecting. Not a full-fledged pitch but a way to strike up a conversation. More people than not always send a reply saying how they enjoyed it and a meeting soon follows.


What are everyone's thoughts on using video for cold outreach? Do you love/hate it? Successes?

Hard pass for me, but I understand it works for some people. Personally, I don't like receiving them either.

@BigCheesePersonally I like receiving short 30 sec max videos vs reading words on a page. Bland emails give me a large disconnect and then it's super easy to move that email to the trash bin without a second thought.

Fair enough, to each their own. I don't like having to rewatch the whole thing to find where they said a certain thing where I can just ctrl+F in an email. The human connection is beneficial however, I agree with you on that.

I've done it in the past, but only for VIP. I've been getting more of these from recruiters, and I kind of like being on the receiving end. Itย  makes it more personal

I like the human element of it immensely. I'd much rather see someone's face with a short pitch than read ALL the ways something can "benefit" me.ย
