Do you pick up the check all the time when you go out with your prospect until closing? Or is it just the first time?

I read a post that talked about the amount and number of times a salesperson should pick up the check. So putting the question to y'all

In my experience I have picked up the check every time, but I think that also has to do with who made the invite. If you're inviting them out to a lunch/dinner/event, then you should be picking up the tab.

Sales can expense it no questions asked. A prospect would have a hard time justifying "I took a potential vendor out to lunch and paid for their meal".

Whenever you invite a prospect, or a customer, or someone out for a business lunch I feel that the person that setup the meeting should pick up the check. So yes, I feel that you should pick up the check every time you go out to eat with a prospect.

How many times will you call a prospect after they don't answer the first time? At what frequency? I typically don't make a lot of repeat calls, just call with volume consistently and try to catch folks at the right time...
