I'll throw my last one in.
New head of sales had just joined that Monday.
On Thursday we had our weekly team sync.
I asked for 5 minutes after to 'chat'.
The man was completely blindsided.
Went very quickly from the previous meeting being, 'look guys there's some challenges but we'll work together and solve them.'
To me being 'l8r bitch' <- but worded nicer.
I may have ended his honeymoon period sooner rather than later.

Pre-determined I'd already accepted an offer.

I prefer the old fashioned way. Get in to a screaming match with your boss, have him fire you, and then throw the classic "you can't fire me, because I quit!"

Well, when I decided to leave my last company as all sales people were struggling and higher ups were doing nothing to improve marketing or anything to help us, I called my boss and put in my notice. All of a sudden I was offered any title I want and spoken to very kindly for the first time, opened my eyes they dont see your value until you show your ready to bail. Still left, best decision ever.

I talk a big game, but when it's come time to quit, I've never done anything that could be considered rude or abrupt.
I try to keep every bridge I build strong...never know when I might need it in the future.
