Does your company have pay bands that are publicly available?

With the hot job market, internal q's keep boiling up about visibility into what our pay bands are.

Ex: SDR pay band is 50-60k base 100-110k OTE, AE, 70-100k base, 120-180k OTE

Our company won't disclose the levels of the bands or what the range is. Which to me is odd because anyone who is interviewing with our company could ask the recruiter what the salary expectations are and they would gladly share that with them. Did anyone battle this at their company for more transparency?

I'm up for a promotion at the end of the year but I have no insight on what the pay would be for this internal promotion, even though we have hired externally and promoted internally into this same role for years... -- I'd like to know if it's competitive with the other offers in my inbox.

Does your company have public pay bands for different levels?

Publicly like available to anyone? No. But the bands are shared internally, it's pretty simple considering everyone with the same title gets the same salary and same commission structure.

Same, easy to find internally more or less but not externally. Altho does depend on geo location to some degree…

No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
Company has a global presence and pays a 'competitive local wage' needless to say it's better to be in the UK than latam

As a result that shit ain't public

Ours aren’t public, but each role has different pay based on your level - some type of number consisting of your experience level at the company, title (Sr, Mgr, etc).

I feel like outside of the Top 10% of companies in any industry, no company publicly discloses pay bands.

Their Reasoning: "We don't want our competitors to know what we pay and out-pay us"

Reality: "We are cheap and believe that we can offer new-hires what we feel they will take based on their exp and self-worth"

It's a faulty practice and they don't realize they've already lost....
