Does your employer care about you?

It's evident no christmas bonuses are happening here this year. no fun little gifts. just some cheap branded swag (ornaments/coffeemugs/pens lol) and a potluck, yeehaw...i'm not one to chase the money, but it does feel nice to be appreciated


CEOs: how do you show your employees you care about them? what would cause you to hold back things like bonuses from your employees at year's end?


Employees: what's your end of year bonus structure look like? anyone getting other end of year perks/christmas gifts?

That sounds lame as hell bruh.

My company treats us well. This year we got a party with good catered food, open bar etc. Some kind of bonus will be coming down the line next week - it's never anything enormous but it's still something (that's what she said lol.)ย 

EOY bonus structure unrelated to the holiday happens in January and is dependent on your performance/quota attainment.ย

Our company tried. They sent some weird ass swag which I donโ€™t care about. Just send cash. Itโ€™s the only gift I want from work. The money I earn and then more money for bringing you more money. Simpleย

Last year, we all received a link to a portal to choose a gift:ย  portable speaker, air pods, or a charitable donation to a charity of our choice.

I actually do not know how the company at which I now work handles any internal gifting or bonuses.ย  ย I requested a backpack for work earlier this year, because my previous bag had my former company's logo on it, and I knew when I started traveling again that would be a bad idea.ย  ย I received the bag stuffed full of goodies, so I really do have everything I need.

I'm not expecting anything, so I won't be disappointed.

Personally - I would treat my staff well.
My workplace treat me well. I usually gets both a gift of my choice (within limits of 100-200$ +-) + a small Christmas bonus based upon how I performed, met quota etc.

They have treated me well, pay me decent, do a holiday party and there may be some kind of Christmas bonus but I never worry about if I will truly get it or not. They just donโ€™t treat me like shit and that is what matters and they actually care about us and making sure we have time with family.

Honestly hope im the only one, but ive never had a company offer a christmas bonus by surprise or that it was expected. I thought that was just something in old movies. Although, when I worked for Abercrombie Jeffries would throw a crazy Christmas party. I still have scars

My company says they do, they'll give us nice swag (corporate Alexa!) and clothes, but that's about it.ย 

They also underpay us so we see right through it.ย

My old place really made it sound like they did but the actions didn't add up. My new company doesn't gaslight anybody but they show it through there actions!
