Does your team have a sales assistant or coordinator handle inbound leads?

Question

We have SDRs that do outbound prospecting and that career path is to JR AE then AE etc.

We need to expand our team for someone to handle/qualify inbound leads , answer the sales line, then in their spare time help with invoicing and paperwork.

Something thats half admin assistant and half customer service. Is this a role on your team? Who is usually responsible for that at your place?

We have an office manager that distributes and schedules inbound leads (doesn't do any selling himself though,) handles the mail, general inquiries, orders supplies, basically keeps everything organized.

Why have a non-sales person doing sales work? I've always had SDRs running inbound/building lists for outbounders. BDRs supporting AEs with outbound work and AEs doing AE things.
