@Coffeesforclosers @CadenceCombat - Sorry you've had to deal with these issues this week. Our Trust and Safety team is meeting on Monday AM to come up with a better solution here. 

In resolution to this situation:

1. I have banned classicrunningman from the War Room and emailed them directly to handle the situation. 

2. We will restore all commission points lost due to this malicious activity. Your standing in leaderboard won't be impacted.

3. We are putting safeguards in place to prevent this situation in the future. Sorry we haven't been on top of this as quickly as we should have been. I'm texting with our VP Product now, we will get this resolved this week.

Not competing for the leaderboard but ‘classicrunningman’ is a clear troll and they just gave me 5 downvotes and downvoted a bunch of comments on the last thread I made for no reason. They also made a bunch of troll-like comments all in caps 👎

But yes, it seems like the leaderboard encourages animosity between the top contenders which is unfortunate...

It's not just the leaderboard, like that's cool a weekly reward sure why not. But I'm trying to provide decent answers and book some commish, this is stupid and could kill the reason we were excited about war room in the first place. Downvote is shit and shouldn't exist or be punished to be honest unless it is religious or political imo.

I agree with you about it not just being about the leaderboard.

There needs to be some way for the user base to police itself but I absolutely agree with you that abusing the downvote function needs to be addressed swiftly.

Thankfully, Sahil is really on the ball and addressed a similar issue I had recently and totally rectified that situation.

I’m confident it will get resolved.

I hope the same. Pretty frustrated. Want to count against my weekly points cause someone wants to petty,  sure. Top 10 shouldn't be able to downvote other leaderboards, and never should it take away from booked commission overall cause someone wants to cheat and take the shot at the leaderboard.

I think disabling downvotes amongst the top 10 contenders in the leaderboard between eachother is pretty smart.

New platform, people cheat. I get it has its quirks. Hopefully @sahil and @GeneralCorp agree and see this as an issue. Kill weekly awards in general or fix the cheaters. Peers cannot be in control of peers we have all seen this in our lives. We cannot self govern and shouldn't impact eachotehrs virtual pockets.

Yeah, not sure what the point was, neither of us said anything that "deserved" it for what was downed. I think you look at the leaderboard and just attack for whatever reason.  Glad he's gone. Have a good Sunday!

Just a thought - if it was someone referred in, perhaps the person who referred them should also be held accountable in some way? Like losing commission or something.

That way, it protects the integrity of the community rather than tossing an invite to whoever will sign up to get the credit. 

That’s how things work at underground events here in nyc, anyway (before the pandemic). You only got in as a guest of a member. If that guest misbehaved, the member would be banned as well.
