I voted "Nah" but but I have been known to eat while on calls with internal employees. You can tell they dont love it but I also dont love starving and have to eat when I can.

Just no. And if your day is really that busy, you need to find some stuff to drop or ways to carve out 10-15 minutes to eat.

I only eat on internal meetings with large groups. Ill turn my camera off as I eat and then turn it back on when I'm finished. Muted the whole time. Aint no one got to see or hear me eat - that would be annoying!

If it's an internal meeting and someone booked it over a normal lunch hour, I think it's fine to eat during meetings, especially if you're not doing much talking during the meeting. However, I keep my camera off. I never eat during client meetings.

I took over an account outside my territory because a customer was so offended by the rep in that territory eating a sandwich on camera that he wrote an email to the CRO saying he didn't want to work with him anymore. Worked out great for me, but the other guy learned a tough lesson.

Prospect client meetings, always have camera on. For my company, they are ok with us occasionally turning cameras off. Perfect time to eat.

Depends the time and the internal people the call is with. If you book a meeting during lunchtime, you should expect people will need eat. I wouldn’t do it with upper management on a call but if it’s my fellow sales savages, I don’t care. We used to eat at the work cafeteria together so why not eat together virtually ?
Very true, i forget about lunch meetings where we all order in and eat together. It is so one sided these days, need to make more of an effort to eat together again even virtually. Great reminder

Def not for a prospect call. Internal call, maybe... but I would turn camera off. I wouldnt want to watch anyone eating on a meeting. Rather just not see you.
ive eaten camera off, but have seen pasta and even soup eaten on camera, i dont even like this at a restaurant lol
You wouldn’t really do it in a meeting so....
Unless it was a lunch meeting, as some on this thread reminded me we have eaten and worked through together. But i still agree in virtual setting if it is one sided maybe shouldnt happen
