Email first line

I want to email companies based on intent data from zoom info.

I used to start my emails with "Saw you company in news/ saw your post on LI.

But I don't see those make sense, what do you suggest?

Number one tip: ZoomInfo intent is fairly inaccurate. Confirm your sources before you start emailing folks.

However, when I use G2 Intent (based on companies viewing your company's G2 product page) I open with: "Was it you?"

Gets a ~65% open rate and decent replies. I target VP+ folks and let them refer me to their reports and colleagues.

That’s interesting, curious how you continue from there (the body)?
I want to try this approach. Right now, we’re starting to use G2 data, but since it doesn’t give the person, we’re just reaching out to all relevant titles with a semi-personalized email because our type of tool is top of mind.

Intent data is completely useless because no one can legally capture the name or email of the person that is viewing your site. You might get a tip from someone on the ZI Intent about a specific department...but what's the point without a name?

Subject: Was it you?
Body:
Hi [Name],

Someone from your team has been checking out [your company name], and given that you lead the IT organization at [their company name] I thought I'd check to see if it was you.

[relevant value prop regarding how you solve challenges for people like them]

[CTA that shows value if they give you time]

Best,
You

Hi Fox,

I saw you checking out PBC's master class on how to get meetings.

If you give me 16 digits, expiration date and a CVV code, I can get you the full access licence to all of my content. Shower scenes included for the next 24 hours.

Thanks,
Bean Boi

Useful. I don’t want to use G2 for full blown outreach. This looks like a 2-3 touch sequence I can try ✌️

I would try 2-3 variants at a time to see what's working and whats not. Using one is a bad idea.

I would mention We haven't nspeoken before and I'll keep it brief. Then add their challenges and of they plan to improve it.

Brief is good.  Why you are reaching out as soon as possible is best.  You can say that you saw their post or whatever on LI - but it's only as important if it fits why you want to connect.

There were some great email examples posted recently in the thread, including good opening lines.  When you're at your laptop, you can search for them.
