Might be your domain? Sub 10 is bad and you deserve better.

Try writing like this. Short sentences that are simple. Ditch marketing jargon and write like a 5th grader. Dumb everything down.

Keep it 50-100 words. No links or bullets on the first touch.

Use phrases like You, Your, Us, We.

Ask for either interest or a specific time.

Give an out "If you're busy, no big deal".

Subject line 3-5 words.

Be brief, be brilliant and be gone.

Yes. This so much.

Had this rep on my old team who asked us all for help because his prospect wasn't responding as he would've liked. When he shared his email thread we all saw immediately. Way too wordy. Showed him this but he didn't know how to take advice. Oh well.

I hover around an 8 - 9% reply rate but my outreach is a lot more targeted and is all about identifying the right stakeholder as opposed to pitching a meeting or discussion upon initial outreach.

If you use HubSpot we have noticed that spam screening tools log as an open, if I open it also an open. I think the spam blockers are really strict now, cold emails (and calls) are really difficult. I think I am at like 8 percent on HubSpot, 12 percent with constant contact and 10 percent with normal Outlook without tracking / links / attachments etc. On REPLYS. I am probably half a percent. The game has changed. Not sure why leadership is so ignorant.
