Email signatures...short and sweet or half the page?

Not that it really matters one way or the other because email sigs don't sell, BUT I want to know everyone's take on this.

We have a new sales enablement manager pushing these MASSIVE, gaudy, email signatures and I've been reluctant to change mine. The new one includes a company logo, name, title, phone, email, link to website, a plug about our company, recent G2 badges, a short description about g2.com, and a link to see more reviews. They look like giant billboards you'd see on the interstate.

My email signature on the other hand is small. 5 lines max. Small company logo, my name, title, phone number, and a link to send me referrals. That's it.

Am I old school in keeping my sig short and sweet or could I be falling on my own sword?

Definitely short and sweet.

Plus too many graphical elements can get emails caught up in filters.

There is a setting in outlook to only display the signature once, then have different ones for replies. That might be a happy middle-ground for you and your team.

As @jefe said, too many elements can make your emails get stuck or bounce. I end up with tons of attachments sometimes and it's just repeats of all the little images and links for LI, Twitter, YT, awards, etc.

Any fluff in my industry gets you flagged as shithead salesperson so my team has the most basic sigs. The more human we can make it look the better.

Name and phone. No links, they get you marked a spam.

If people want to find your website they can look at your email domain.

I hate massive signatures.  They don't work to drive...anything.  You're already sending an email.  Short and sweet.

Short and to the point.

Sometimes I include a marketing banner if I’m going to a conference soon.

Damn. That's alot. I have one set for cold outreach with the info, and one set for replies which consists of my name and cellphone. That's it.

As short as possible and no images for outbounding. Don't get caught in spam jail.

Less is more. This rule is true for many things. Including email signatures.

Oh gosh. No. Def short and simple. Small simple logo, name, title, number. That’s all mine has and all it needs. You can link the logo to the website if you want but like no one and I promise no one is going to enjoy a giant gaudy signature blowing up their inbox.
