No. Many threads on this. But no.

If you're not having success cold-calling, it's not because it's dying, it's because you're not doing it right.

Take a Masterclass course to shake up what you're doing.

(not targeting you and saying you're not doing it right, but targeting all those who think it's dying)

Calling is king. I'm not the best writer admittedly, but it is much harder to build urgency over an email than a phone call for most people I believe

If you have 3 missed texts from your mom, how worried would you be?
Now if you have 3 missed calls from your mom...

Read a stat 92% of business is still done on the phone. It is less sexy but still produces in my team and my eyes. Its delivery and forming relationships that needs the work

Does anyone feel it also depends on the industry? Cold calling on the phone when I was in the financial industry slayed. Thought that would translate easily into public safety but it went no one compared to emailing people, which gets rapid-fire responses.

Public safety is a tough one i was in that industry for a few years. Police, fire or some other function?

All the above! No one wants to talk to you until you've gained some trust. But once you do they want to talk to you SO MUCH

Also tough in a saturated market or underdeveloped territory, if you dont have xxx agencies using it in their county or state you cant even give it away.

Ain't that the truth! But there's more market there than meets the eye. Just gotta go get it and be humble. Like that Kendrick Lamar song.

And relatively recession/pandemic proof, gotta have public safety. Humility is key man, keep grinding. I sold CAD/RMS to police and fire for a small firm, blew out first year, slumped haaarrdddd year 2, things started to click again in year 3. Roller coasters baby! Peaks and valleys.

And they all do the same exact thing, very few differentiators, but once you land the deal they are yours for a decade+ minimum.

At the beginning of the pandemic, cold calling definitely took a hit. but that led to an insane amount of mass emails being sent out. some VPs and Directors I've talked to say they get 50-100 cold emails per week now, if not more, but cold calls have declined rapidly. I think now is a good time to pick up the phone.

No, the goal of any cold outreach is to speak with a person. Cold Calling cuts directly to that
