Honestly, if my role doesn't change every couple of quarters... I get bored. Helps when you're running an early stage startup that your role changes every 60 days :)

Agreed!! I have previously only worked at Fortune 500 organizations and felt complacent after 3 years and left. Β Since joining a small start up - you are thrown into perpetual change. Β Right when you start to get comfortable - things change. Β You have new challenges and strategies. Β It helps keep things interesting.Β

Once I stop learning I lose interest and usually my days become numbered after that

It's generally about a year when new leadership comes in and changes up things which gets old really fast.

I get bored after scaling a team, building systems, playbooks, processes and training on sales tech, then prove out the new model and have a few great quarters. Β

Nothin else to prove after that and typically takes 1-2 years to do that. Β

Never stay anywhere more than 2-3 years because there are more Β small companies I can impact instead of one or two and become stagnant. Β Β

When you fit a phase where nothing changes and your Manager just says "Keep running the playbook" for a few months

That can make things pretty stale from there for sure.
