I have never been one to intentionally sandbag as getting it to close is hard enough on clients time, but prospecting and not grinding down to close is my go to. If they sign, they sign (drago from rocky voice)

My company's sales cycle that averages 6-9 months so if we are at the last week of the quarter it is pretty rare to have something you can realistically bring over the finish line.ย 

At that point just keep pushing your prospecting and all other deals to make sure everything is moving along as best as possible.ย 

There's nothing worse than focusing too much on the ones near closing to then look up later and realize you don't have anything at the top of your pipeline.ย

Take the deals whenever you can get them! If you close them now, you have more time to close more deals next month. Over time that's $1000's in your bank account.ย

I never understood why you would sandbag, unless you are fully aware of a massive bonus coming the following month it doesnt help anyone to have money tommorrow that you can have today
