What I'm about to share with you isn't for the faint hearted.
Should you advise a professional before taking on the "challenge" or "action" that I'm about to suggest?
Perhaps.
but perhaps you're brave ( some argue stupid) enough to just take the plunge and do it.
So here goes nothing.
My productivity "challenge" for you is:
REMOVE YOUR PHONE FROM THE ROOM YOU ARE WORKING IN.
Do you work from your bedroom?
Put your phone in your washroom/kitchen/box under the coffee table in your living room etc...
It sounds so simple and stupid but god damn it does it work.
Idk about you guys but I have no shame in admitting that I am addicted to my phone. I used to work with my phone right next to me, and I never kept count but If I had to guess, I probably reached for my phone at least 200 times a day (average is apparently 262 times per day).
I've also had moments where I'm on a call with the camera off ( obviously) and if I started to drift off, it would be damn near impossible to resist the temptation of checking my phone.
Put your phone away for a day and see the difference in your output.
