EOQ and Hurricane Ian 🌀

FYI: This post has no enlightening content at all. 

I agreed to work through EOQ before I left my company. I figured why not make all my EOQ commission and bonus before I split? That bitch Ian had other plans. 🤣 

All my reps are in the southeast so this is going poorly. I'm in the most suspect hotel but was fortunate to find a place with a room available let alone one that would accept pets. 

After getting the mandatory evacuation orders on Tuesday, I fortified my house, packed up 7 cats, a greyhound, and set off for my temporary home while hoping to return to some semblance of my actual life one day. I got all of 5 minutes away before the yeowling hit an all time high and the stench of shit filled the car. Cats were rioting. Shitting, pissing, vomiting, and barrel rolling in it in their carriers. An hour later we arrive to our 1/2 star accommodations to have to bathe cats. 

By the time everyone calms down from the stressful day, travels, and baths it's 3 am. Now everyone wants to explore the exceptionally small room. The medical marijuana is simply not strong enough to drown out the mayhem of things breaking and being thrown off of every surface of the room. Suddenly, it's 7:30am and time to log in for the day and pretend the sales shall roll in like normal. (Don't even get me started on the complimentary breakfast.)

Hell is upon me as I attempt to wrangle 40 reps and hundreds of deals. I can hardly function on this shotty single screen of a laptop. I need my 3 screens and whiteboard damn it. Occasionally, I get the pleasure of seeing Jim Cantore get whacked by a tree limb or some other footage of a Florida man getting fucked by their lack of brain cells and that's ultimately pretty refreshing. 

This post is mainly to share how insane I am and also how ridiculous an EOQ could be. I find all of this to be too funny. Sometimes things are downright awful and wildly out of control, much like sales. I always find something to laugh at and never lose sight of how fortunate I am to be pissing off in the WR during a Cat4. 

If you are having a shit EOQ, I feel you. If you are out there killin the game, kill it once for us on the struggle bus. I hope to have power tomorrow so I can work, if for nothing else than to keep me away from the beer cooler in the room and the looming panic.
