EQ in sales

Curious to hear from the community: do you personally or via your employer, actively pursue Emotional Intelligence (EQ) skills as part of your personal and professional development?

If so- what kind of things are you doing or is your company providing?

If not- why not?

If you haven't and are curious, I'd suggest starting with SalesEQ by Jeb Blount. great read that is 100% focused on the application of EQ in sales

I am biased, but its a freaking game changer

I actually just posted about this. Im less than 2 months in my new role, new company and im starting trainings on EQ for the mass of the revenue team. Any other tips? I believe its incredibly necessary. Any good activities you can share with me for us to do over Zoom and personally? Keep things engaging

hey Bdub- sorry I didn't see that post. ย again SalesEQ is filled with great content for trainings. ย Emotional Intelligence 2.0 by Dr Bradberry is a workbook that has specific exercises for each EQ category (self vs external, awareness vs management).

Our teams do a monthly optional ted talk review and I try to keep the ted talks focused on EQ related themes. ย this helps to create healthy discussion and involvement around these areas
