How long have y'all typically gotten to respond to a job offer?
I'm currently interviewing for a role, and I have my final round interview coming up. The recruiter warned me that if I get an offer, they expect a decision within 24 hours, or it'll be withdrawn.
I find this super unprofessional and shitty. Their reasoning is "we want people who really want to be here..." But I'm interviewing with other companies. I feel like this policy creates a situation where I'm incentivized to say yes to the offer - then bail if something better comes up. Which is shitty and unprofessional of me, but they're putting me in a corner.
What do y'all think? I feel like asking for a week or so to accept/decline an offer is reasonable. Anyone ever gotten an exploding offer?
